New Sainik Schools (NSS) Eligibility, Application, Counseling Process, and Admission Process
The Government of India, in collaboration with private schools and state governments, has approved the formation of New Sainik Schools. Under this provision, existing reputed schools, both government and private, will be shortlisted and allowed to run as Sainik Schools. 18 new schools have been given permission to run as Sainik School along with the existing 33 schools. The idea is to establish 100 approved New Sainik Schools (NSSs) so that more and more academically strong and highly skilled individuals are produced who can put the needs of their nation first. These NSSs will work under the Sainik Schools Society and follow the rules for Approved New Sainik Schools.
