History of National Naturopathy Day
In 2018, the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India established National Naturopathy Day to be observed annually in the country. November 18 was chosen as the day of celebration to commemorate the day when Mahatma Gandhi became a Life Member of the Nature Cure Foundation Trust in 1945. He became a member of the trust so as to make natural cures and their benefits available to people of all classes in the country. It was through his efforts that naturopathy became popular in the country and parts of Europe as well.

The National Institute of Naturopathy (NIM) and Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN) are the main bodies that organize various events to celebrate National Naturopathy Day in India.
