The National Testing Agency conducts Uttar Pradesh Common Entrance Test (UPCET) for offering admission into First Year of B. Tech./B.Arch./B.Des./B.Pharm./ BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/B. Voc./MBA/MBA(Integrated) /MCA/MCA(Integrated)/M. Tech. (Integrated) M. Tech./M. Arch./MURP/M. Pharm./M. Des. & Second Year of B. Tech./B.Pharm./MCA (Lateral Entry). The application form usually releases in the month of January and exam is conducted in between April & May.
Latest: UPCET has been replaced by CUET UG and CUET PG.
UPCET Eligibility Criteria
Go through the minimum education, age and nationality criteria to take the upcoming UPCET:
Age Criteria: No age limit
Nationality: Indian National/NRI/Foreign Nationals/ PIO/Kashmiri Migrants/Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries
Minimum Education
B.Arch: 10+2 with 50% marks in aggregate. Subjects combination include Math & Phy as compulsory subjects and any one from Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Technical Vocational/ Computer Science
B.Tech, B.Des and Integrated MCA: 10+2 with 45% marks (40% in case of reserved). Subjects combination include Math & Phy as compulsory and any one from Bio-Technology/ Chemistry/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects
B.Tech (Bio-Technology): Pass class 12th with PCB and any one from Chemistry/ Biology / Bio-Technology / Technical Vocational subject
B.Pharma: 12th pass with Chem & Phy and any one from Mathematics/ Biology / Bio-Technology/ Technical vocational subject
MBA/MCA: A recognized bachelor’s degree by securing 50% marks(45% in case of reserved). Mathematics should have studied Mathematics as compulsory subject in 12th or in graduation for candidates willing to get admission into MCA programme.
How to Apply for UPCET 2024?
UPCET application form will be released online at its official website i.e. https://upcet.nta.nic.in/. Candidates must read the brochure before they start applying for the exam. Only eligible candidates are permitted to fill and submit the application form, therefore you must ensure your eligibility before you apply for the exam. Please do not send hardcopy of the confirmation page to the concerned authority. However, please keep it safe for future reference.
Steps to Apply
The application form can be filled and submitted by following the steps provided below:
Step 1: Complete registration by filling personal and other required details. Please do not commit errors while filling the application form or provide false information in the application form.
Step 2: Upload scanned copy of your signature and photograph. The maximum size of the photograph and signature should be 100Kb and 30KB respectively.
Step 3: Make payment of application fee and keep printout of the confirmation page with you.
Application Fee
The application fee for Male / Transgender Candidates of General/ OBC Category is Rs.1300/- and for Female/SC/ST/PH is Rs.650/-. The amount can be paid using credit card/debit card/net banking.
UPCET Exam Pattern
UPCET is an OMR based entrance test. Every question will carry 4 or 5 marks (B.Arch). There will be no negative marking in the exam. You need to mark your answer using black/blue point pen.
