KEAM 2024 stands for Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical 2024. It is an entrance exam conducted for admission to various professional degree courses in the state of Kerala.

The Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE) is the authority that conducts this entrance exam. Aspiring candidates can get admission to a large number of courses including Engineering, Architecture, B.Pharm, MBBS, BDS, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Siddha, Unani, Agriculture, Co-Operation & Banking, Climate Change & Environmental Science, B.Tech Biotechnology (under KAU), Forestry, Veterinary and Fisheries

The application process will take place in online mode. Admission will be based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance test.

KEAM 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria are different for various courses.

Age Limit

  • At least 17 years as of 31st December 2024.
  • No upper age limit for Engineering, Architecture B.Pharm, BAMS, BSMS, BHMS, and BUMS Courses.
  • The upper age limit for MBBS and BDS is as per the NEET UG guidelines.

Educational Qualification

BUMS Course: Aspirants should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exams in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Must have at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Plus, candidates must have cleared 10th or 12th standard with Urdu or Arabic or Persian language as a subject.

B.Sc.(Hons.) Agri., B.Sc.(Hons) Forestry, B.Sc (Hons.) Cooperation & Banking, B.Tech Biotechnology, BFSc course: 10+2 with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

B.Sc.(Hons) Climate Change & Environmental Science: 10+2 with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. 

BVSc. & AH Course – 10+2 or equivalent exam passed in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects with 50% aggregate marks.

B.Pharm – Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination Physics, English, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology subjects.

B.Arch – 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 50 % aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

MBBS & BDS – 10+2 or equivalent Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English with at least 50% marks put together in these subjects.

BAMS & BHMS

B.Tech – 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biotechnology with a minimum of 45% marks put together.

Application Process

Those who are wondering how to apply for KEAM should note that application forms will be accepted through the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in/.

Step 1 – Registration

The application process will start with registration. All candidates will have to create their own password.

The password should be 8 characters long and must have at least one alphabet, number, and symbol (!@#$%^&*).

Step 2 – Fill Application Form

After registration, you may log in to access the main application form. In the form, you must enter your educational and personal details.

Check and make sure all details are correct before clicking on the “Save & Finalise” button.

Step 3 – Application Fee Payment

There is no application fee for ST students.

You can pay the application fee online using a credit card/ debit card/ Internet Banking.

To pay the application fee offline, you need to submit an e-challan at designated post offices in Kerala.

Those choosing ‘Dubai’ as Examination Centre need to pay an extra fee of Rs. 12,000/-.

Step 4 – Upload Scanned Images and Certificates

Aspirants must upload the scanned images of the following documents after the application fee payment.

  • A recent passport-size photograph of the candidate
  • Signature of the candidate
  • Proof of date of birth
  • SSLC or equivalent certificate
  • Nativity Proof
  • Category Certificate

Step 5 – Print Application Acknowledge Page

Generate and take a printout of the application form confirmation and fee receipt.

Admit Card

Authorities will upload admit cards for all candidates on the official website. Candidates will have to provide their Application number and password to download the admit card.

Remember, you will not receive the admit card by post. An admit card will carry details about the examination date, time, and venue.

No candidate will be allowed to take the exam without an admit card.

Examination Centres

The KEAM 2024 exam will be held in all districts of Kerala. Additionally, examination centres will also be set up in Mumbai, New Delhi, and Dubai.

KEAM Syllabus 2024

  • Mathematics – Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Statistics, Calculus, etc.
  • Physics – Physical World and Measurement, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy, and Power, Motion of System of Particles and Rigid Body, Gravitation, Properties of Bulk Matter, Thermodynamics, Behaviour of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory, Oscillations and Waves, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Electromagnetic Waves, Optics, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Atoms and Nuclei, Electronic Devices, and Communication systems. 
  • Chemistry – Some basic concepts of Chemistry, Structure of Atom, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, States of Matter: Gases, Liquids, and Solids, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, Redox Reaction and Electrochemistry, Solutions, P-Block Elements, D and F Block Elements, etc.

Answer Keys

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) will publish answer keys for both papers on the official website. Releasing of answer keys will also be notified in leading dailies.

Candidates can match their answers and get a rough idea about their scores. You may also challenge the answer keys by writing to CEE along with supporting documents and a fee of Rs.100/- per question by way of DD in favour of CEE.

The DD should be payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Submit your challenge within 5 days of the date of publication of the answer keys on the website of the CEE.

Declaration of Result

The result based on the final answer key will be published online. Candidates will be able to check their scores by logging into the portal.

Information including total and subject-wise scores will be mentioned on the result card.

Merit and Rank List

Along with the result, authorities will also publish rank lists. Please note that there will be separate rank lists for

  • Engineering Courses.
  • Architecture Course
  • Medical & Medical Allied courses (except BAMS)
  • BAMS Course
  • B.Pharm Course

For engineering, 50% weightage will be given to both KEAM score and 10+2 score (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/ Computer Science put together)

The rank list for Medical Courses except BAMS (MBBS/BDS/BHMS/BSMS/BUMS Courses) will be based on NEET-UG 2024 scores.

The scores in NATA 2024 will be considered for the preparation of B.Arch rank list.

Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) & Online Submission Of Options

The Centralised Allotment Process will take place through the single window system. In this system, candidates will be provided the choice of college and course in which they want to study.

After the online submission of choice, the system will allot institutes and courses to students on the basis of their ranks.

If a candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat then he/she can pay the fee to confirm the allotment. 

Documents Required

After seat allotments, students need to visit the allotted college along with the following documents to confirm their admission.

  • Certificate to prove date of birth
  • Original mark list of the qualifying examination
  • Migration Certificate, if applicable
  • Transfer Certificate from the Institution last attended and Conduct Certificate.
  • Data sheet of KEAM 2024
  • Admit card of NEET-UG-2024 (if applicable)
  • Physical Fitness Certificate in the relevant format
  • Allotment Memo issued by the CEE.
  • Any other documents required in the allotment Memo/Notification.
  • Originals of all the documents and certificates uploaded with the online application.
