List of MP Bank Holidays 2024

Certain set of holidays that are specific to the banks of the MP state are decided every year that are known as bank holidays. Madhya Pradesh Schools Holidays in 2024

1. Holi– Holi is a festival of colors that is celebrated with complete enthusiasm by the people of Madhya Pradesh. Almost every organization, public or private, remain closed on the occasion of Holi and the people spend their day by throwing colors on each other and feasting on amazing food that is prepared on the occasion of this festival.
2. Dussehra– Dussehra marks the victory of Good over Evil and is celebrated generally in the month of September or October. Dussehra comes after the nine-day festival of Navratri and many fairs are organized on this day. Burning statues of Ravana, along with Meghnaad and Kumbhakaran are a famous tradition carried out on Dussehra.
3. Diwali– Diwali is another major festival of Madhya Pradesh that is celebrated after 20 days of Dussehra. People make rangoli, light firecrackers and prepare delicious food items to celebrate the festival of Diwali. Normally, it falls in the month of October or November.

Other festivals of Madhya Pradesh include Tansen Music Festival, Bhagoria Haat Festival, Khajuraho Dance Festival, etc which might not be a government holiday but are celebrated with great excitement among the people of MP state.
