Eligibility Criteria for Indian Army Havildar Education Recruitment 2024

Age Limit for Indian Army Havildar Education

Civilian Candidates: The age of candidates should be in between 20 to 25 years as on 1^st October 2024 (Candidates who are born between 01st Oct 1999 and 30th Sep 2004 inclusive of both dates).

Serving Combatants on Remusteration– Candidates’ age should be in between 20 to 28 years as on 01st October 2024. Candidates who are born in between 01st October 1996 and 30th September 2004 inclusive of both dates are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have a recognized graduation/post graduation degree. They should have working knowledge of either English or Hindi or both.

Science Stream: BCA /B Sc / B Sc(IT) / BE / B Tech / M Sc / M Sc(IT) / M Tech/ MCA  (with or without B Ed) with any of the following subjects:-

aa) Physics

(ae) Botany

(ab) Chemistry

(af) Zoology

(ac) Mathematics

(ag) Electronics

(ad) Biology

(ah) Computer Science

Arts Stream: MA/BA (with or without B Ed) with any of the following subjects:-

(aa) English Literature

(af) Political Science

(ab) Hindi Literature

(ag) Economics

(ac) Urdu Literature

(ah) Psychology

(ad) History

(aj) Mathematics

(ae) Geography

(ak) Sociology

Medical Standards

1. Candidates should own healthy physique and mental health, have normal hearing, chest with at least 5 cm expansion, adequate number of natural teeth, i.e. 14 dental points with healthy gums. They should not be affected with any disease such as hydrocele, deformity of bones, varicose veins or piles.
2. Serving combatants on Remusteration- Candidates must belong to the medical category SHAPE-1A. Remusteration candidates will be excused from medical examination at the time of recruitment rally. Candidates indicating medical category should be duly signed by Army Medical Authority where individual is serving and countersigned by the Commanding Officer of the unit.

Physical Standards

Please go through the region-wise physical standards:

Western Himalayan– Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab Hills (Area South and West of the Inter State Border between Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and North and East of Road Mukerian, Garh Shankar, Hoshiarpur, and Ropar), Garhwal and Kumaon (Uttarakhand).

Eastern Himalayan: Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Meghalaya, Assam and Hill Region of West Bengal (Darjeeling Districts)

Indian Army Havildar Education Selection Process

Initial Screening: The initial screening of candidates will be held at Independent Recruiting Office (Delhi Cantt), all the Headquarters Recruiting Zones.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Candidates have to necessarily pass all physical fitness tests however the marks obtained in Physical Fitness Test won’t be considered while preparing the final merit list. The physical fitness test includes:

1. 6Km run
2. Pull up (Beam)
3. Balance
4. 9 feet ditch

Written Exam

Candidates who are medically fit are only allowed to take the written exam. There will be two papers:

Paper 1: Paper 1 is compulsory for all candidates. It will contain 50 objective type questions on general English and general awareness.

Paper 2(Science Stream- Maximum Marks: 50): It is compulsory for Science stream. The paper comprises of 50 objective type questions from Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Biology.

Paper 2 (Arts Stream- Maximum Marks: 50): It is compulsory for Arts stream. The paper comprises of 50 objective type questions from History, Political   Science, Geography,     Mathematics and Economics.

Marking Scheme

All answers are required to be marked on the OMR sheet.

Teaching Aptitude Test and Interview

Candidates who have cleared the written exam and placed in the merit list are further required to appear for Teaching Aptitude Test and Interview to be organized at AEC Training College and Centre, Pachmarhi.

Training

Candidates who have cleared all rounds and are placed in the merit list will undergo Military and Technical Training for about one year at AEC Training College and Centre, Pachmarhi (MP). Candidates may be rejected during training also if they break some sort of rules.

Candidates have to confirm their eligibility before they apply for Indian Army Havildar Education recruitment 2024. They need to apply online at Indian Army official website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Candidates should carry the following before they register themselves online.

• Education qualification certificates including matriculation certificate.
• Verification / domicile certificate.
• Personal details, including permanent address with PIN Number
• Personal Email ID and Mobile number

For online registration, candidates are required to visit the official website of www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

Click Apply Online link on home page in JCO/ OR enrolment row (green coloured).

Fill out the registration form with required details.

Upon entering all the details, you profile will open.

Now fill rest part of your application form including contact details and education details etc.

Once you filled all required details in the application form, click preview and save if everything is correct and is in order.

Upon submitting the form, you’ll receive a roll number.

Candidates can login to their account using email ID and phone number and take printout of their application form.
