R’Bonney Nola Gabriel was born on March 20, 1994, in Houston, Texas to Dana Walker and Remigio Bonzon Gabriel. Her father was born in Manila, Philippines and migrated to Washington state when he was 25. Gabriel’s mother is originally from Texas only and she has three older brothers.

Journey to Miss Universe 2022 pageant

Gabriel’s first entry into a beauty pageant came with her participation in Miss Kemah USA 2020 where she made it among the top five finalists. She then appeared in the Miss Texas USA 2021 competition as Miss Harris County and was able to make it as first runner-up. She was later crowned as Miss USA 2022 to become the first Miss USA of Filipino descent.
