The process of admission into all Government Sarvodaya Vidyalayas of DoE will begin from the month of March 2024. Eligibility Criteria for Sarvodaya School Admission 2024

Children residing in Delhi will only be eligible to apply for admission.
For admission to Nursery, children should have completed the age of 3 years as on 31^st March 2024.
For admission to class KG, children should have completed the age of 4 years as on 31^st March 2024.
For admission to class I, children should have completed the age of 5 years as on 31^st March 2024.

Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Application Process 2024

Interested parents can obtain the application form for admission by visiting the concerned Sarvodaya school from the month of March 2024 onward.
Other than this, the application form can also be downloaded from the official website www.edudel.nic.in.
In the application form, details such as the name of the student, gender, date of birth, class of admission, category, religion, and aadhaar number (not mandatory) will be asked.
Information related to parents like the mother’s name, father’s name, bank name, account number, IFSC code, address, and phone number should also be provided.
After providing all the details, the parents/ guardians need to sign the form and a declaration about the age of the candidate.
Duly filled application form along with date of birth certificate, residence proof, category certificate, etc can be dropped in the drop box available at the school.
A list of students who have applied for admission will be displayed on the school’s notice board along with any deficiency in the application form.
Parents can reach the school to get the deficiency corrected before the admission process begins.

Draw of Lots for Admission

After the complete application process is over, a draw of lots will be done to select the students for admission.
The draw of lots will be carried out in the presence of SMC members of the school and parents.
A list of the students selected for admission will be displayed on the school’s notice board.
Priority will be given to students residing in the vicinity of 1 km of school or 3 km to students who do not have any Sarvodaya school in a 1 km area.
Children within the vicinity of 3 km and beyond that will be given preference after that.
If any seat remains vacant, the admission process for the students on the waiting list will be carried out.
