APRS CAT 2024: Application Process, Eligibility Requirements, Exam Pattern, etc

Admission into different classes in the residential educational institutions of Andhra Pradesh is given on the basis of a common entrance test (CAT). Normal admissions are given in class 5 and for higher classes (6 to 8) admission is offered for backlog vacancies only. Application for the entrance test can be submitted through online mode tentatively in the month of April 2024. The entrance exam might be held in the month of May 2024. Eligibility Criteria for APRS CAT 2024

Check out the eligibility criteria to apply for APRS CAT 2024:

A pass in class 4 from a recognized school is required to apply for admission to class 5.
A pass in class 5 from a recognized school is required to apply for admission to class 6.
A pass in class 6 from a recognized school is required to apply for admission to class 7.
A pass in class 7 from a recognized school is required to apply for admission to class 8.

Application Form for APRS CAT 2024

Parents of interested candidates can apply for the APRS CAT 2024 by visiting the Andhra Pradesh Department of School Education.
To fill out the application form, personal details of the candidates such as name, father’s name, date of birth, religion, category, etc should be provided.
Details of the class studying in, the name of the school, board, etc are also asked in the application form.
Photographs and signatures of the candidates in scanned format should also be uploaded in the application form.
Once all the details are entered correctly in the application form, it can be submitted with the prescribed application fee.
It is suggested that the parents keep a printout of the application form in case of future reference.

APRS CAT Exam Pattern 2024

A basic overview of the APRS CAT 2024 exam pattern is provided below:

Marking scheme: One mark will be given for every right answer.

APRS CAT Admit Card

Those who apply successfully for the test can download their admit card using their candidate number and date of birth.
A printout of the admit card should be taken after that and carried to the exam center on the day of the exam.
No candidate will be allowed to appear for the admission test in case of absence of the admit card.
Important details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam center, date, time, etc will be printed on the admit cards.
Kindly note that admit card mutilated or distorted in any manner will not be considered valid.

APRS CAT 2024 Result

The result of the admission test is declared through online mode as per the schedule decided by the authority.
Candidates will be able to check their results by visiting the official website of APRS.
Based on the marks scored by the candidates in the admission test, a merit list will be prepared.
Further process of admission will be carried out according to the names of the candidates in the merit list.

Candidates who clear the admission test will have to participate in the further process of admission.
The further process includes verification of documents and selection of a school for enrolment.
Depending on their ranking in the merit list, candidates will be invited for the admission process.
