Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, or simply known as Ayushman Bharat Yojana, is a health scheme by the Prime Minister of India that aims to offer free health insurance coverage to people of low income group. Eligibility to register for Ayushman Bharat 2024
The following eligibility criteria need to be fulfilled for applying for Ayushman Bharat Yojna:
Rural category
The following families from rural area can apply for PMJAY:
- Families with no earning member between 16 years and 59 years of age
- Families without any healthy adult member and one physically challenged member
- Manual scavengers, bonded laborers and landless families
- Families belonging to Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribes
Urban category
The following families from rural area can apply for PMJAY:
- People providing services by working on streets or pavements
- Domestic help, sanitation workers, gardeners, sweepers, washersmen, gatekeepers, security guards
- Tailors, home-based artisans and handicraft workers
- Mechanics, electricians, repair workers, plumbers, masons, construction workers, porters, welders, painters
- Drivers, conductors, helpers, rickshaw pullers, cobblers, hawkers
- Assistants, peons of a small organization, delivery men, shopkeepers and waiters
- Ragpickers

Step 1: Go to official website www.pmjay.gov.in from your browser.
Step 2: On the top search bar you will find the Am I Eligible option. Click on it.
Step 3: A page will appear on the screen asking you to enter your mobile number and captcha code.
Step 4: Enter these details correctly and link on the Generate OTP button present below.
Step 5: Follow the on-screen instructions to get the list of people eligible for PMJAY scheme.
Step 6: Search for your name in the list and if found, you can also check the details of family members covered under the scheme.
How to apply online for Ayushman Bharat Yojana 2024?
There is no need to enroll for availing the benefits of Ayushman Bharat Yojana and people can apply online the e-card. But before applying for the card, it is important to check out the eligibility. People applying for AB PMJAY will have to get themselves verified at the Kiosk or nearest empanelled hospital or Common Service Centre (CSC). After verification, you will be registered for Ayushman Bharat card.

- Enter the given captcha code and the OTP generated and sent on registered phone number.
- You will then be asked to provide HHD code obtained after successful registration.
- After entering all details correctly, you will be able to download your Ayushman Bharat card for free treatment.
The Ayushman Bharat card can also be obtained by visiting the Common Service Centre (CSC) and providing the representative with the important details.

Grievances related to Ayushman Bharat scheme can be reported through online portal or to District Grievance Nodal Officer (DGNO). Settlement of all claims will be done within 15 days after being authenticated by their internal team.
