In a recent development, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple trust has scrapped the facilities of on-the-spot and window ticketing. The window ticket will now be offered only in extraordinary situations 24 hours before the Aarti.

Those devotees who want to participate in Baba Vishwanath Mangala Aarti need to book tickets online only. They also need to act quickly because currently, the waiting time is more than one month.

The temple’s trust rolled back the facilities of on-the-spot and window ticketing due to a large number of complaints regarding ticket allotment and alleged corruption.

No More Offline Tickets for Baba Vishwanath Mangala Aarti

Many devotees have complained about irregularities in purchasing on-the-spot window tickets. They alleged that ticket counter employees are selling them at extraordinarily high prices. Mangala Aarti tickets will now be booked only online and can be booked from the website of Vishwanath Temple.

Window tickets will be issued only after permission from the Chief Executive Officer’s office. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sunil Kumar Verma said that the sale of window tickets for Mangala Aarti has been banned.

200 Lucky Devotees

It is considered auspicious to take part in the Mangala Aarti of Shri Kashi Vishwanath. Only 200 devotees are allowed to do aarti every day. However, thousands of devotees gather at the temple premises every day.
