The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released official notifications for CUET 2024. It is an entrance exam to shortlist candidates for admission into a large number of UG Programmes in all Central Universities for the academic session 2024-25.
The exam will be conducted in online mode and those who want to apply must submit the application form online. There is no age limit to apply for this test. Aspirants must check the eligibility criteria carefully before submitting the form.

CUET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
It is the duty of candidates to make sure that they meet all the required eligibility criteria for CUET before submitting the form. Please go through the following points to understand important factors about the eligibility criteria.
- All universities participating in the CUET exam are free to have their own eligibility criteria.
- The weightage of the CUET in the admission process is also a decision of the participating universities.
- There is no minimum or maximum age limit to apply for CUET.
- Only appearing for the exam or scoring passing marks doesn’t guarantee admission. To get admission, you need to fulfill the rest of the eligibility criteria as decided by the universities.
CUET 2024 Application Form
Here is the step-by-step process to submit the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) application form.
- First of all, you need to visit the official website of CUET i.e. https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/.
- On the official website, you must choose the registration option.
- At the time of registration, you should provide a few basic details like Name, date of birth, email address, phone number, etc.
- After registration, you can sign in with your email address and password.
- Once logged in, the main application form will display on your screen. Here, you must provide your complete educational, personal, and contact details.
- Along with the details, you must upload the scanned images of the following details.
- A recent passport-size photograph of the candidate – Should be in JPG/ JPEG format and 10 KB to 200 KB in size.
- Signature of the candidate – in JPG/ JPEG format and 4 KB to 30 KB in size.
- Category Certificate – 50 KB to 300 KB in PDF format.
- PwBD Certificate (if applicable) – 50 KB to 300 KB in PDF format.
- In the next step, you must pay the required application fee as per your category.
- Finally, take a printout of the application form submitted and keep it safe for future reference.

Mode of payment – Aspirants can pay the application fee online using a credit card, debit card, internet banking, and UPI.
Admit Card
- The admit card for the CUET examination will be released online through the official website of NTA.
- To download the admit card, candidates will have to enter their details such as registration number, etc.
- The admit card contains vital information such as the candidate’s name, photograph, signature, roll number, examination centre details, and important instructions to be followed during the examination.
- Along with the admit card, candidates must carry any one of the following documents (in original) at the time of the exam – School Identity Card/ PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/ E-Aadhaar with photograph/ Ration Card with photograph/ Class 12 Board Admit Card with photograph/ Bank Passbook with Photograph.
- No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall without an admit card.

The pattern of the CUET 2024 examination is given below.
- Mode of examination – Online (Computer Based Test)
- Type of questions – Objective type multiple choice questions
- Language of questions – 13 languages (Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu )
- Marking Pattern – +5 for every correct answer
- Negative Marking – 1 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer.

- Language – Reading Comprehension (based on different types of passages–Factual, Literary and Narrative, and Literary Aptitude and Vocabulary.
- Domain Subject – Depends on the subjects that you will select.
- General Test – General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic/ algebra geometry/ mensuration/ stat), Logical and Analytical Reasoning.

Answer Key
- The NTA will display the Provisional Answer Key of the questions on its website.
- NTA will also provide an opportunity for the candidates to challenge the Provisional Answer Keys with a non-refundable online payment of ₹ 200/- per question.
- The subject experts will examine all the challenges received and then a final answer key will be released.
- The result will be prepared on the basis of the final answer key.
CUET 2024 Result
- NTA will publish the result on its official website soon after releasing the final answer key.
- Each candidate who will appear for CUET will receive an individual score based on their performance in the exam.
- The result will also include the overall ranking of all the candidates, based on their scores in the CUET.
- Based on the CUET result, participating universities will prepare merit lists listing the candidates in order of their overall ranking.
- Please note that NTA has no role in the preparation of merit lists.
