David Gyasi was born on 2 January 1980 in Hammersmith, London, to Ashanti Ghanaian parents. David’s parents came to the United Kingdom in 1966 to pursue their education. His parents divorced when he was a young boy. David has six other siblings and they grew up in Fulham and Hayes. He attended Bishopshalt School and completed his A Levels at East Berkshire College. When he was young, David wanted to be a footballer but later decided to become an actor. He even went on to study drama at Middlesex University.
Gyasi started dating Emma Llaudes during the sixth form at East Berkshire College whom he has met earlier. They got married in a small ceremony in September of 1999 when David was only 19 years old. Gyasi made a brief appearance in the hit movie “What a Girl Wants” and the same year he was also cast for a minor role in an episode of the show “Goal”.
