List of Government Holidays in HP 2024
Government of every state defines a set of holidays every year that should be observed by all institutions. The Government of Himachal Pradesh has decided a total of 23 holidays that are to be observed by the banks, schools and public offices of Himachal Pradesh.
Other than this, there are certain restricted holidays that are not strictly observed in offices but people can take leave on those days in case that the festival is a major festival of their community. A list of compulsory Himachal Pradesh Government holidays along with their dates are provided below.

Bank Holidays in Himachal Pradesh in 2024
Holidays that are mentioned above in the Government holiday list are observed in the banks all around the state. Banks are also closed on every Sunday and every second and fourth Saturdays of every month.
Earlier, banks used to operate on all Saturdays (half day) but later the rule was changed to working on first and third Saturdays (fifth too, in case it occurs) and holiday on second and fourth Saturdays.

Other than this, each school has its own rules for holiday like Sundays are off in all schools but on Saturdays they might or might not have classes.
