Jeremy Renner was born on March 15, 1975, in Modesto, California, to Valerie Cearley and Lee Renner. His parents got married when they were teenagers and divorced when Jeremy was ten. His father was the manager of a Modesto bowling alley, named McHenry Bowl in the 1980s. He is the oldest of seven siblings. Renner attended Modesto Junior College, where he took a drama class as an elective.
Renner married Canadian model Sonni Pacheco in 2014 and the couple had a daughter together. Only a few months after their marriage, Pacheco filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. They share custody of their daughter.

Renner made his film debut in 1995 with the comedy movie National Lampoon’s Senior Trip but the film was a major failure. He later had a minor role in the television film A Friend’s Betrayal and went on to grab some guest roles over the next few years. During this period, he also worked as a makeup artist to help make ends meet. His initial success came with the 2002 movie Dahmer where he played the lead role of the eponymous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. Snowplough Accident & Recovery
On January 1, 2023, Renner faced an accident after being hit and run over by his snowplough and suffered blunt chest trauma and other injuries. Jeremy was soon sent to a local hospital by helicopter where he got admitted in critical but stable condition. In the hospital, he underwent multiple surgeries and remained in the intensive care unit in critical condition. On 3rd January, Renner posted a selfie to his Instagram account thanking fans for their support. He was released from the hospital on January 17 and continued his recovery at home. He later revealed via his Instagram account that he broke over 30 bones in the accident.
