Kaun Banega Crorepati, popular as KBC and hosted by Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, is a famous game show that airs on Sony TV.

The show needs no introduction and almost every household in the country enjoys watching it on their television. For those who don’t know, in the game contestants are asked a series of multiple-choice questions and by answering them correctly, the contestants get a chance to win top prize of more than 7 crores.

Amitabh Bachchan has been hosting the show since its very first season in 2000 with the exception of the third season which was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. As a part of registration process, a total of 10 questions will be asked by the contestants and they have to answer the question as per the given schedule. KBC 16 Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum age of the participant, as on date of registration, should be 18 years.
• The participant should be a citizen of India.
• Applying person should not have any criminal records or any allegations against them.

There are multiple ways of applying to Kaun Banega Crorepati 2024. You can apply through SonyLIV app, by SMS or through the IVR method.

There is no charge for KBC registration done through any of the available methods. Once the registration is about to open, you will see the announcement of the same on the television after which you can start the process.

KBC Registration through SonyLIV App

On your mobile phone, you can download the SonyLIV app and register online for KBC season 16. Android users can install the app through Play store whereas iPhone users can find the app on their App Store. After you are done installing the application, follow these steps to register for Kaun Banega Crorepati season 16.

1. Launch the SonyLIV application in your device.
2. You will be asked to login to the app. Using credentials like email address and phone number, you can login.
3. After logging in to the app, go to KBC link.
4. Provide the details like name, age, gender, educational qualification in the form given on this link.
5. You will see the question on the screen and have to correctly answer the same. The question will appear as MCQ and you will have to provide the right option for it.
6. Enter the right answer into the form and submit the same.
7. You will get a confirmation upon successful submission of your answer.

KBC Registration through SMS

Another way of registration for KBC also involves your mobile phone and can be done via SMS. The facility to register through SMS is made available for the users of BSNL, Jio, Airtel, Vodafone and IDEA. The steps to register via SMS are provided below. Standard SMS charges will apply. Make sure that you have to watch the question on your television before you proceed with SMS.

1. Open Messaging app in your device and compose a new message.
2. In the body of message type KBC <space>< A/B/C/D> <space><Age in years> <space><Gender>.
3. Send your SMS to the number 509093.

KBC Registration through IVR

This is the oldest method of KBC registration and was the only method available when mobile phones were not very common. The method of registration is through IVR and the steps for registering through the same are given below. Make note that standard charges will apply. Also, you have to watch the question on your television before you proceed with process.

1. From your mobile number, give a call on the number 50525252 from your mobile number.
2. Press from 1 to 4 to select options from A to D.
3. You will then be asked to provide details like name, age, gender, etc.
4. Provide those details and you will hear a thank you after completion of the process.

Participants will be selected for auditions on the basis of lucky draw. Those who are shortlisted will be informed by the KBC authorities about the same. Final selection will only be done after interview, audition and document verification.

Kaun Banega Crorepati Selection Process

Contestants who are shortlisted after the registration process will have to appear for the selection round next. The selection round comprises of question-answer round followed by audition, document verification and interview.

• The first step will be confirmation of participant’s identity which will be done through a call from KBC.
• After verification, you will be invited to appear for the audition round at a prescribed place.
• Those who are selected in the audition round will have to get their documents verified. Details about the process will be given after clearing the audition round.
• Next step will be a quiz test and after passing the test, personal round of interviews will be conducted. Around 10 participants will be shortlisted after that.
• There will be another round of a quiz in which all the contestants will have to answer the questions in fastest time possible.
• Winner of this round will get to participate in the show along with the host Amitabh Bachchan.
