Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission in Chandigarh

For class 1, the registration process is done in online mode, whereas, for other classes, the registration process is done in offline mode, subject to the availability of vacancies. For online registration, parents are requested to visit the official website of KV Sanghthan.

For class 1, admissions are offered based on online draw of lots. The first merit list is released after few days of the completion of registration process.

For class 2 to 8, admissions are offered to eligible candidates on the basis of Priority Category System.

For class 9, an admission test is conducted in subjects Hindi, English, Science, Mathematics and Social Science. Candidates are given 3 hours to solve a question paper of 100 marks.

Your admission to class 10 is confirmed by the Deputy Commissioner of the Region concerned if vacancy exists.

Candidates are given admission to class 11, based on their performance in class 10.

• Science stream- 60% marks in aggregate in all subjects
• Commerce stream- 55% marks in aggregate in all subjects
• Humanities stream- Those have passed the class 10^th
