Story Behind 51 Shakti Peeth in India
There are various versions of the story behind the origins of Shakti Peeth. We are providing the most popular version as per the Vishanava Puranas. Devi Sati was the first wife of Lord Shiva. She was the daughter of Prajapati Daksha who was a Brahmin priest and son of Brahma. She was destined to marry Shiva. But, Daksha disliked Shiva for his appearance. Eventually, Sati married Lord Shiva and arrived at her new home in Mount Kailash and mesmerized by its beauty.
One day, Daksha performed the Ashvamedha Yagna and invited all devas except Lord Shiva. Devi Sati knew that her father is making a mistake. So, she went to meet him beseeched him to show respect to Lord Shiva. But, Daksha refused and insulted Sati in front of his guests. Angered Sati took the form of the goddess Adi Parashakti and cursed her father and his sacred Yagna ritual. After that, she ignited her inner Yogic fire, set herself ablaze and burned to death.
Angered and grief-stricken by the death of his wife, Shiva placed Sati’s body on his shoulders and roamed about the universe. Seeing this, the gods eventually asked lord Vishnu to help restore normalcy to Shiva. Then, Lord Vishnu threw his Sudarshan Chakra and dismembered Sati’s lifeless body. The 51 pieces of Sati’s body and jewellery fell to the Earth. The places where the body and Jewellery of Sati’s body fell on Earth become Shakti Peeths. Lord Shiva stayed in isolation until Devi Sati reincarnated as Parvati.

Saptashrungi devi vani nashik Maharashtra where devis right arm was fallen not mentioned..
Why all the parts of Sati Devi’s body fell only in Indian Sub-continent? Why they did not fall in other parts of Asia, Africa, Europe, America? In fact world means all seven continents !
For that you have to know about that what they are and how they formed. When shiv was taking sati towards the kelash that time bhagwan vishnu part sati body. I think this the reason for having all sakti peeth round the india and India’s neighbouring countries.
Yeah , you are exactly right,, if you see it on map the mostly shakti peeths, are fallen nearby kailas parvat only that means shiva bhagwan was taking sati maa towards kailas, and then vishnu bhagwan used Sudarshana Chakra that apparented devi body and fallen nearby kailas parvat only,,,, really this all is true, exact calculation of places,, this is really impossible,,,exact logic ,,, Santana is all about science and logic or you can say beyond the science
