The Mahadevi Birla World Academy was established in the year 1959 by industrialist B. K. Birla and his wife Sarala Devi Birla. To empower the students with great academic abilities, to enhance their creativity and to instill a feeling of empathy in them is the main objective of the Mahadevi Birla World Academy. To achieve this, the school strives at creating an environment where the students can grow academically as well as mentally and emotionally. Admission is granted to the students in class Nursery and class XI. For other classes, the admission is done on the basis of availability of seats.

Eligibility Criteria

The age of the candidates for admission to class nursery should be 3+ years as on 1^st April of the year of admission.

Mahadevi Birla World Academy Admission Process

1. Online admission form will be made available on the official website of the school and the interested parents can fill and submit the form on behalf of their wards.
2. At the time of submission of the form, a Bank Deposit Slip will be generated for depositing the form fee at United Bank of India, Darga Road Branch, 38, Darga Road, Kolkata 700 017.
3. A printout of the admission form along with the copies of important documents should be submitted in the drop box in the Senior Section office.
4. Candidates whose forms are submitted successfully will be invited for interaction. Interaction with both candidates and parents will be conducted.
5. Selection of the candidates will be done as per the interaction session and list of selected candidates will be placed on the school’s notice board.
6. Selected candidates and parents will then be communicated the rest procedure regarding the admission.

The candidates should submit the following documents in the school office drop box:

• A signed copy of the application form printout along with recent stamp-sized color photographs of candidate, father and mother duly pasted
• Original school copy of the receipted Bank Deposit Slip
• A copy of the candidate’s Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Corporation
• A copy of Aadhaar Card of Child (if available)
• A copy of Certificate issued by government for ST/ SC/ OBC/ Minority category
• Xerox copy of current year ID card if sibling is a student of MBWA
• A copy of supporting document in case any parent is an ex-student
• Qualification certificate of both the parents
• Income proof of the parents
