Maths Talent Search Examination (MTSE) 2023: Date, Application Form, Eligibility

The Indian Institute for Studies in Mathematics organizes Maths Talent Search Examination to test candidates’ understanding of mathematical concepts and to prepare them to face competitive exams. Cash prizes and certificates to the top rankers are also awarded. The offline exam is conducted generally in the month of January every year. Maths Talent Search Examination 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Students from class 3 to 9 studying in any recognized school in CBSE/ ICSE/ State board can apply for the MTSE 2023 exam.

Application Form for Maths Talent Search Examination 2023

  • The application form for MTSE 2023 exam will be released on the official website of IISMA.
  • Candidates who want to appear for the exam need to submit their online application necessarily.
  • In the application form, basic personal and academic details of the candidates will be asked.
  • Duly filled application form can be submitted by the candidates along with the specified amount of application fee.
  • Care should be taken to not make any mistakes in the application form or else it will be rejected.
  • Students whose applications are submitted successfully will be able to download their admit cards and appear for the exam.

Application fee:

  • The application fee for participating in the MTSE 2023 will be Rs. 250/-.

MTSE 2023 Admit Card

  • The admit card for appearing in MTSE exam 2023 will be published online on the official website of IISMA.
  • Admit card can be downloaded by the candidates using their CC Avenue Ref No. or Exam Seat No. created at the time of registration.
  • A printout of the downloaded admit card should be taken by the students and carried with them while appearing for the exam.
  • Details about the students and about the exam will be mentioned on the MTSE admit card.
  • Without an admit card no candidate will be allowed to write their examination under any condition.
  • The admit card will also be sent to the schools one week prior to the date of examination.

Maths Talent Search Examination Result 2023

  • Candidates can check the result of the Maths Talent Search Examination through online mode.
  • Results will be published on the official website of IISMA www.iisma.com tentatively in the month of April 2023.
  • A merit list will be drawn on the basis of candidates marks in the exam and can be checked from the website.
  • The students can also download their score card from the official website using their roll numbers.
  • After downloading, the candidates can take a printout of their score card and keep it with them.

MTSE 2023 Awards

  • The students who score either above 30 marks or the Benchmark Score, whichever is higher, are declared as successful. The Benchmark score is the average score of all the students for that class.
  • The top 5 rank holders of each class are awarded mementos.
  • The top 200 successful students from each class are awarded a Certificate of Merit and prizes worth more than Rs. 3.5 lakhs as under.
  • A Certificate of Participation is awarded to all other students who appear for the examination.

Is it possible to get a refund on the application fee?

The application fee once submitted will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Can I get my MTSE score card via post?

The score card can be downloaded from the official website of IISMA. No score card will be sent via post.

Where can I find the answer key for the MTSE exam 2023?

The link to check the MTSE answer key can be found in the Downloads section on the IISMA website www.iisma.com. On the answer key page, click on your class and check the correct answer key.

Can I ask for re-evaluation of my MTSE result?

If any student desires to get the marks reassessed, an application in this regard in a self-addressed stamped envelope (9″ x 4.5″) should be submitted along with Demand Draft/ Pay Order of Rs. 100/- to the office of the IISMA. The demand draft should be drawn in favor of “Indian Institute for Studies in Mathematics” payable at Mumbai.

How can I get the certificate and the prize if I clear the MTSE exam?

The students can contact IISMA or their school to get the details about the cash prize and certificate.
