1. The Palace of the Sultan

With wrought-iron balconies and an enormous courtyard, the home at 716 Dauphine St is a quintessential French Quarter beauty. 

As a rich man with a filthy lifestyle, a number of wives, and a large group of women and young men kept against their will, the Sultan lived here in the 1800s in a house of horrors.

Unusual noises, loud music, and heavy scents of incense have been blamed on his furious ghost, which is also believed to be responsible for unwanted approaches on prior female residents who say the Sultan is still trying the old tricks of grabbing female guests.

Locals complained about this man’s strange behavior, which included a preference for drinking, smoking, opium, and torturing himself and others.

It wasn’t until after his family and harem were slaughtered by an unknown assailant that the Sultan’s death became the biggest adventure in the house.

2. Moon River Brewing Company

The Moon River Brewery opened in Savannah in 1999, however, the original structure dates back to 1821, making it one of the city’s oldest businesses. The City Hotel, with a record of bloodshed during the Civil War, was its first iteration.

In 1860, a Yankee was bludgeoned to death by residents in the hotel following a violent dispute. Some barriers claim to have seen bottles fly and to have watched individuals being pushed, touched, and even slapped by unknown powers. Toby, the ghost of a long-dead bartender, is supposed to lurk around the billiards area in search of a fight.

3. Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum

The other name for Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, The Weston State Hospital, which was established in 1864, was formerly home to tens of thousands of persons with mental illness. Before it was shut down in 1994, the institution claimed the lives of hundreds of individuals.

4. Murder House Villisca with an Axe

Located at 508 E Second St, a white frame home was the scene of an unspeakably horrific murder on June 10th, 1912. Villisca, IA, was devastated by the horrific murder of Josiah B. his wife, their four children, and two young girls who were visitors for the night.

From April through November, visitors may take a lamplight tour or reserve an overnight adventure for groups. These details enhance the chilly atmosphere.

Residents of the house have claimed to see a guy wielding an ax, weeping children, and other strange phenomena over the years. With no plumbing or electricity, the house was restored in 1994 to its pre-1994 state of affairs.

5. Kuldhara in the Indian state of Rajasthan

This one in India is surrounded by a number of disputed ideas. Since the 1800s, the settlement has been abandoned and is considered to be cursed. The Paliwal Brahmins are said to have formerly lived in the area, as per a local tale.

When Salim Singh was infatuated with a villager’s daughter, he threatened to marry her by levying excessively high taxes on the people of the hamlet. Villagers departed the area overnight, but not before cursing it, in order to protect themselves and the daughter from the wicked minister.

Locals think that the town is haunted as but nobody can live there in peace because of the terrible atmosphere that still lingers there.

6. Raynham Hall, Norfolk, England

Raynham Hall is considered to be a haunted place as various unusual activities were captured at this place.

An English Whig statesman Charles Townshend, 2nd Viscount Townshend was also the resident of this place from 1674 to 1738.

7. Bhangarh Fort, Rajasthan, India

Once the home of Madho Singh (second son of Bhagwant Das) this place today attracts visitors around the world as the most haunted place.

The fort was built around 450 years before in 1573 and is located Alwar district of Rajasthan. The place is located at a distance of 235 kilometres from Delhi, India.
