MS Dhoni was born in Ranchi, Bihar before the formation of Jharkhand state. He was born on 7th July 1981 to Pan Singh and Devaki Devi. He is youngest among the three children of Pan Singh and Devaki Devi. He was born in a Hindu Rajput family having roots in Uttarakhand. His paternal village Lwali is located in Jainti Tehsil, Almora District of Uttarakhand.
