Nia Long Parents: She was born to Doughtry Long and Talita Long. Her father Doughtry Long was a high school teacher and poet, while her mother Talita Long is a printmaker and teacher. Her mother belongs to Trinidadian descent.
Her parent got divorced when she was just two years old. After divorce, her mother moved to South Los Angeles when Nia was seven years old. Her mother had a plan to marry there but her fiancé denied.
