Nick Jonas was born on September 16, 1992, in Dallas, Texas, to Denise and Paul Kevin Jonas. His father is a songwriter, and musician, while his mother is a singer and also a former sign language teacher. He has two older brothers, Joe and Kevin, with whom he formed the highly popular band Jonas Brothers. His younger brother Frankie is a former child actor.

Jonas dated fellow Disney stars Miley Cyrus from 2006 to 2007 and Selena Gomez from 2008 to 2010. Both Miley and Selena are very popular singers and actresses. In 2013, he started dating Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo but ended the relationship in 2015. In May 2018, Jonas started dating Indian actress Priyanka Chopra and only after three months of dating, they got engaged. They tied the knot in December of the same year and welcomed their first child (via surrogacy) in 2022.

Career as a singer

Jonas’ career started at the age of seven when he began performing on Broadway. Around the same time, he also wrote a song with his father which caught the attention of Columbia Records. The company signed him immediately and Nick’s debut album “Nicholas Jonas” was released in 2004. Nick was only 12 years old at the time. Later, the new president of the record label signed him and his brothers as a group and the band Jonas Brothers was formed. The band released their first album “It’s About Time” in 2006 which only received a limited release due to Columbia Records’ lack of interest in promoting the album. The bother departed from the company and the album went on to sell more than 1.7 million copies.

Jonas Brothers later signed with Hollywood Records and their popularity kept on increasing. Their second album entered the top five of the Billboard 200 in the United States with over 2 million copies sold. The band’s third album was their first to rank at number one on Billboard. After making four albums together, the band members split in 2013 and Nick started working on his solo career. However, they reunited in 2019 and released their fifth album with another one coming later this year.

Solo career

After the band split, Jonas started working on his second solo album named “Nick Jonas”. The song “Jealous” of this album became Nick’s first top ten hit as a solo artist on the Billboard Hot 100. His third album “Last Year Was Complicated” was also a commercial success and the same was the case with his fourth and most recent album, “Spaceman”.

Career as an actor

Nick made his debut as an actor with his brothers in the 2008 Disney film “Camp Rock”. The brothers next starred in the 3D biopic “Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience”, which was a financial success and also became the sixth highest-grossing concert film. A series called “Jonas” featuring all four brothers was created by Disney following the popularity of the brothers. Their next movie “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam”, a sequel to the first Camp Rock movie also turned out to be a commercial success. Jonas has appeared in many other movies and shows, the best of which we will discuss later.

Other ventures

Nick has released his shoe collection, a spring clothing line, a fragrance, and a collection for golf in collaboration with others.

He has collaborated on an ultra-premium tequila named Villa One and has also opened a bar called Villa One Tequila Garden.

Together with his wife, Nick has joined the production team Chicken & Biscuits. The couple has also invested in a company Perfect Moment which makes women wear.
