AP NMMS 2024: Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Pattern
An entrance exam will be conducted by the Andhra Pradesh state government administration to select the candidates for awarding the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship. The scholarship will be provided on the candidates on yearly basis starting from class XI and continuing upto class XII. The amount of the scholarship will be Rs. 12000 per annum. NMMS Andhra Pradesh 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The following eligibility criteria must be fulfilled by the candidates to obtain the NMMS scholarship 2024:
Education:
- The awardees must get promoted from class VIII to class IX to be eligible for the scholarship.
- For continuing the scholarship in class X and XII, the candidates must pass class IX and XI respectively with not less than 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ ST students).
- A minimum of 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ ST students) in class X exam is also mandatory.
Family income:
- Total annual income of the candidates should not exceed Rs. 150000/- from all sources.
AP NMMS 2024 Application Form
- The application form for Andhra Pradesh NMMS 2024 for Class 8 will be made available through online mode on the official website https://bse.ap.gov.in/NMMS.aspx.
- Candidates need to approach the headmaster of their respective schools as the application should be routed via the school.
- Those candidates whose applications are filled can appear for the scholarship selection test.
- An application fee of Rs. 100/- for general/ OBC candidates and Rs. 50/- for SC/ ST/ PH candidates will also be applicable.
- Payment of the fee can be done through SBI Collect.

Two-stage state level examinations will be conducted to select students for the scholarship:
Mental Ability Test (MAT)
- Mode of exam: Offline
- Duration of exam: 90 minutes
- Medium of exam: English, Hindi, Telugu and Urdu
- Number of questions: 90 questions
- Type of questions: Multiple-choice questions
- Total marks: 90 marks
- Marking scheme: For every right answer, 1 mark will be awarded.
Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
- Mode of exam: Offline
- Duration of exam: 90 minutes
- Medium of exam: English, Hindi, Telugu and Urdu
- Number of questions: 90 questions
- Type of questions: Multiple-choice questions
- Total marks: 90 marks
- Marking scheme: For every right answer, 1 mark will be awarded.

Admit Card
- The Directorate of Government Examinations, Andhra Pradesh will release the admit card to appear in the exam on the official website.
- Candidates should download their admit card and take its printout to be carried to the exam center.
- No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall and give the exam in the absence of a valid admit card.
- It is suggested that the candidates protect their admit card till from loss or damage and therefore should keep multiple copies of the same.
Answer Key
- Authorities will release the answer key of the exam on the website of Directorate of Government Examinations, Andhra Pradesh.
- Candidates can check the answer key and those not satisfied with the same can submit the grievances against the same.
- A specific time period will be given to the candidates for submitting their objections.
- Taking into consideration the objections, the authorities will prepare and release the final merit list.
Andhra Pradesh NMMS 2024 Result
- Candidates who clear both MAT and SAT with at least 40% marks in aggregate (32% marks for SC/ ST candidates) will be considered as qualified.
- A list of the candidates who are shortlisted for the scholarship will be made and published on the official website.
- The list will contain details such as roll number, name, father’s name, gender, category, etc and MAT score, SAT score and overall score.
Disbursement of Scholarship
- Candidates who clear the exam and satisfy all other criteria for eligibility will be considered for the scholarship.
- The awardees will be required to open bank accounts preferably in SBI or any other scheduled bank with core banking facility.
- No scholarship will be granted to the candidates for studying any course abroad.
Discontinuation of the scholarship
The following conditions will lead to the discontinuation of the scholarship:
- In case the awardee does not join the course after 3 months of declaration of the result of the previous course, the scholarship will be discontinued.
- If there is a gap of one academic session during the studies, the scholarship will be discontinued.
- In case the awardee takes up any job, the scholarship will be discontinued.
- If the awardee leaves his/ her course within a month of admission, the scholarship will be discontinued.
