Biography

Prabhas was born on 23 October 1979 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu to Siva Kumari and Uppalapati Surya Narayana Raju. His father is a well-known film producer while his mother is a housewife. Prabhas has an elder brother and a sister and he is the nephew of the late Telugu actor and politician Krishnam Raju. He completed his schooling from Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chennai and DNR High School, Bhimavaram and joined Nalanda College, Hyderabad for his intermediate education. Prabhas even holds a  B.Tech degree from Sri Chaitanya College, Hyderabad.

Prabhas has never been in a relationship with any of his co-actors despite people linking his name with almost every actress he has worked with. From Ileana D’Cruz to Anushka Shetty to Kriti Sanon, rumors about his affairs with these actresses got wind while shooting together but every time, Prabhas has denied about any truth in these rumors.

Professional Career

Prabhas studied acting at Satyanand Film Institute, Visakhapatnam before joining the film industry. His movie career started with the film Eeswar in 2002 and the very next year he appeared in the lead role in the movie Raghavendra. From there he went on to star in movies like Chakram, Chatrapathi, Billa, Ek Niranjan, Rebel, etc over the years, most of which were hit or semi-hit. With the passing of time, Prabhas established himself as a leading star of the Telugu film industry.
