Rajesh Gopinathan was born in Thrissur, Kerala in 1971 and grew up in Lucknow. He did his schooling at St. Mary’s Convent Inter College Lucknow and graduated from NIT Tiruchirappalli in 1994. Rajesh holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He has also done his PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad in 1996. 

Gopinathan currently resides in Mumbai with his wife Lekshmi, and his two children, a daughter, and a son. His hobbies include reading books, watching movies, and traveling.

He worked on multiple assignments with Tata companies and became a part of  Tata Consultancy Services in 2001. Rajesh later became the Vice President of Business Finance where he managed the financial management of individual operating units of TCS.
