Timothy Weah Professional Career
When he was little, Timothy’s father George Weah taught him how to play the game. Tim later joined the Rosedale Soccer Club in Queens, New York, owned by his uncle. He further moved to France in 2014 and joined the Paris Saint-Germain Academy.Weah scored a hat-trick in his first start with the team. In 2017, Weah signed a three-year professional contract the Paris Saint-Germain club but moved to Celtic on a six-month loan deal in 2019. Weah wasn’t able to play much for the Celtics assoon he was selected in the US squad for the Under-20 World Cup. Later in 2019, Weah signed a five-year deal with Lille but missed most of the season due to injury. Weah started and scored his first goal for Lille in his second season.
