There is a huge difference between Army public school and military school of you want your child as a army officers then you must send her to Military school (I don’t know much about military school ), and in few APS , addmission of civilian is totally prohibited . My daughter is in class 5. I am a civilian.
She was in an ICSE school till class 4, and did fairly ok with her studies.
However, due to a steady decline in the school’s overall educational quality with experienced teachers leaving, and the environment becoming unsuitable, we tried to change within the session last year, and changed to an IGCSE or Cambridge Board school.
However, there was a huge shift from ICSE and CBSE style education, which is completely becoming a challenge and we are frantically trying for a change.
We tried to get a chance at Army Public School Kolkata last year as well.
If there is any option at all, even in this year in Class 5, we will be most thankful, and will happily go for the change.

Army Public School primarily focuses on providing education to children of Army personnel. The ward of the serving Army personnel, coming on transfer to Kolkata will not be denied admission, subject to the prerequisite notified by the C.B.S.E. in classes XI to XII. If a student is coming from other army school with having a genuine academic record are exempted from appearing in admission test. Others have to take part in an admission test.
Parents can see all admission notices on the school notice board or else they can directly contact the school office.
