Common WiFi Issues & Fixes
| Problem | Likely Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| WiFi light flashes, never turns solid | Wrong password or SSID mismatch | Re-run setup, double-check password (case-sensitive). Try forgetting and rejoining the network. |
| Printer connected but PC can’t find it | Firewall blocking UDP 631 / mDNS | Temporarily disable firewall to test. Add Epson to firewall exceptions. Ensure both devices are on same subnet. |
| WPS button press has no effect | Router has WPS disabled | Enable WPS in router admin panel, or use Manual / App setup method instead. |
| Keeps disconnecting from WiFi | DHCP lease expiry / IP conflict | Assign a static IP to the printer in your router’s DHCP reservation table using the printer’s MAC address. |
| Mobile phone can’t find printer | Devices on different VLANs / bands | Ensure phone is on 2.4 GHz band. Disable network isolation / AP isolation in router settings. |
| Error: “Printer offline” on Windows | Windows using old USB driver | Go to Printers & Scanners → Remove old entry → Add printer using “Add by IP address” with the printer’s new network IP. |
